To help our customers select products suitable for their green projects, we have launched the Eco Family product line. These are products that are engineered to have reduced embodied carbon, and promote sustainable construction. The products are grouped under the following categories: ECOCem™, ECOConcrete™, ECOSand™, and ECODrymix™.
ECOCem™
Our range of low carbon cement, ECOCem™, contains a minimum of 25% recycled material and is made with 20-50% lower carbon dioxide emissions compared to Portland Cement (OPC). In this product range, we have various products that are certified green label, such as Mascrete LH (SIRIM Eco-Label) and Castle (Singapore GreenLabel).
ECOConcrete™
Concrete is the most widely used building material in the world after water. This is because its resilience and durability significantly reduce the need for maintenance or replacement. We improve on these innate qualities with ECOConcrete™, which contains 20-60% less embodied carbon compared to CEM I concrete.
ECOSand™
ECOSand™ is our high-quality, artificial sand. We use a Vertical Shaft Impactor to produce these cubical-shaped fine aggregates that are ideal for ready-mixed concreting, and precast concrete applications. By using ECOSand™, environmentally destructive sand mining is avoided altogether, contributing to sustainable construction.
ECODrymix™
The products in our range of environmentally-friendly premix mortar, ECODrymix™, have less than 5% volatile organic compounds (VOC), which results in better indoor air quality. We’ve also made sure to use packaging that doesn’t employ plastic film liners, making it easier for it to be recycled. All products in this range have the SIRIM ECO Label certification.
