The Penyu Shell-Ter Project Contributes RM1,255,000 to Conservation and Community Causes

YTL Cement concludes nationwide art-for-conservation initiative with RM1 million raised through charity auction and additional RM255,000 donated to NGOs.
YTL Cement, in partnership with YTL Hotels and the National Art Gallery, has successfully completed The Penyu Shell-Ter Project, raising and contributing a total of RM1,255,000 towards turtle conservation and a diverse range of charitable causes impacting communities across Malaysia.
Launched in conjunction with YTL Group’s 70th anniversary, the initiative brought together 51 Malaysian artists and public figures, each reimagining 70 turtle sculptures made using ECOCem®, YTL Cement’s low-carbon cement. These turtle sculptures were exhibited at selected YTL Hotels and featured in a nationwide online auction, culminating in an on-site auction and gala dinnner. The Penyu Shell-Ter Project anchors conservation work in the power of art, contemplating the legacy of the Group and the impact that it has made both in its journey thus far and the path that lies before it.
