Second University-Industry Research Consortium (UIRC) Scientific Committee Meeting

The University-Industry Research Collaboration (UIRC) convened for the second Scientific Committee Meeting to set the agenda for research and collaboration for the year ahead. Building on the successes of prior initiatives and support from the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE), the meeting brought together esteemed members of academia and representatives from MOHE to review 2024 activities, endorse research grants, and refine plans for upcoming events.

Key Discussions and Outcomes

The meeting highlighted significant progress, with two universities expressing their interest to support the UIRC Young Researcher Industrial Grant through a matching fund mechanism. In addition, the consortium has endorsed five research grant applications under the programme.
