Malayan Cement Berhad Wins at The Edge Billion Ringgit Club Awards

We are proud to share that Malayan Cement Berhad (MCB) was recently honoured at The Edge Billion Ringgit Club (BRC) Gala Dinner, receiving the award in the Industrial Products and Services: Highest Growth in Profit After Tax over Three Years category. The Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Alhaj, presented the award to Rachel Yeoh, Executive Director of YTL Cement Group, who accepted it on behalf of MCB, accompanied by representatives from the company.

The BRC Awards celebrate companies that demonstrate excellence and resilience across both financial and non-financial performance. Winners are evaluated over a rolling three-year period, based on profit growth, return on equity (ROE), and total shareholder returns. What makes these awards especially prestigious is that companies must first meet a minimum standard in corporate responsibility before they can be considered, underscoring the awards’ recognition of performance that extends beyond financial results.
