Eastern Pretech Secures Major Rail and Integrated Development Projects in Malaysia and Singapore

Eastern Pretech has secured significant new projects in Malaysia and Singapore, reinforcing YTL Cement Group's position as a trusted regional provider of end-to-end precast solutions for major infrastructure and building developments.

In Malaysia, Eastern Pretech Solutions Sdn. Bhd. has secured two major contracts for the fabrication, supply and delivery of precast concrete sleepers, further strengthening its role as a trusted partner in the country's rail infrastructure development.

The contracts comprise the supply of 102,000 precast concrete sleepers for the Klang Valley Double Track (KVDT) Project and 15,000 sleepers for the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) Project, bringing the total contract quantity to 117,000 sleepers. Deliveries are scheduled over a 12-month period from August 2026 to August 2027, marking another important milestone in supporting Malaysia's expanding rail network. The successful award of these contracts further strengthens Eastern Pretech Solutions' presence in Malaysia's rail infrastructure sector and underscores its ongoing commitment to supporting the country's transportation development through innovative and dependable precast concrete solutions.

In Singapore, Eastern Pretech Singapore (EPS) has also been awarded a major subcontract for the fabrication, supply and delivery of precast concrete elements for a landmark integrated development in Toa Payoh. The billion-dollar project will transform a 12-hectare site into a vibrant community hub featuring a 10,000-seat stadium, library, polyclinic, indoor sports hall, aquatic centre, and a range of other sports and recreational facilities.

As part of the project, EPS will deliver a comprehensive precast superstructure system comprising hollow core slabs, planks, double tee slabs, columns, beams, stair flights, RC walls, façade walls, architectural walls, parapet walls, and planter boxes. In total, approximately 19,430m³ of precast concrete will be manufactured and delivered.
