>CDL Academy and IEM Host Technical Visit to Eastern Pretech Beranang
1 October 2025

CDL Academy, in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), hosted a technical visit to Eastern Pretech Solutions Sdn. Bhd.'s Beranang factory. The half-day programme brought together engineers, contractors, consultants, and academics to experience precast innovation first-hand and explore its applications in modern construction.

The factory tour featured live manufacturing demonstrations, providing insights into technical challenges and solutions while showcasing how precast technology can enhance project efficiency, quality, and delivery. The visit proved to be both educational and a valuable networking opportunity, with participants actively engaging and raising questions throughout the tour and during the Q&A session. Eastern Pretech further emphasised the benefits of precast construction, including a cleaner site environment and the use of far fewer props compared to in-situ cast structures.

As a leading precast concrete specialist serving Malaysia and Singapore, Eastern Pretech provides complete expertise in design, manufacturing, and installation. Its comprehensive product range includes structural elements such as columns, beams, hollow core slabs, and wall panels, alongside custom architectural solutions. Operating from two state-of-the-art facilities in Beranang, Selangor, and Seelong, Johor, Eastern Pretech combines advanced technology with extensive industry experience to deliver high-quality precast solutions.
This technical visit highlighted the advantages of precast construction while providing an important networking platform for engineers and consultants, reinforcing Eastern Pretech’s role in driving Malaysia’s Industrialised Building System (IBS) transformation.
