YTL Cement: #AColourfulNation Contest

TERMS & CONDITIONS

By participating in the YTL Cement Group #AColourfulNation Contest (“Contest”), the participant (“Participant”) is deemed to have read, understood and unconditionally accepted all the terms and conditions as set out herein. This Contest is organised by YTL Cement Marketing Sdn Bhd. (“Organiser”) and is open to all Malaysian residents aged 18 years or older as of 31 August 2025. The following group of persons shall not be eligible to participate in this Contest: Employees of YTL Cement Group and their immediate family members, representatives, and/or immediate agents of advertising and/or promotion service providers. “YTL Cement Group” means YTL Cement Berhad and its subsidiaries and associate companies.

DETAILS

This Contest shall run from 12:00 PM on 31 August 2025 to 23:59:59 PM on 16 September 2025 (“Contest Period”).
Contest entries can be submitted from 12:00 PM on 31 August 2025 to 23:59:59 PM on 16 September 2025 (“Submission Period”). The Organiser will shortlist entries based on adherence to contest guidelines, good visual quality and creativity. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Contest Period and rewards at any time without any notice.
Contest is strictly open for MALAYSIAN citizens only.
All entries received outside the Submission Period will be immediately disqualified. No correspondence will be entertained.
When participating on Instagram - Participants must follow YTL Cement Group’s Instagram account (instagram.com/ytlcementgroup) and set their profile setting to ‘public’, Entries from ‘private’ accounts will be disqualified.
Multiple entries are encouraged to be submitted by each Participant. Verification of personal details and identity will be done upon the announcement of the contest results to confirm legitimacy and fairness of participation of the winners, during which the winners may be required to provide personal details including, but not limited to, the Participant’s full name (as stated in the Participant’s NRIC/passport), NRIC/passport number, mobile number and email address). Failure by the winners to provide personal details for verification to the Organiser within such time as may be required by the Organiser will result in the disqualification of the winning entry.
By participating in the Contest, the Participant represents and warrants that all elements contained in the Contest entries:-
- are the original and individual creations of the Participant;
- does and will not, in any way, violate or breach any of the terms of any other agreement the Participant may be a party to or any intellectual property rights of any other party;
- does not contain libellous, tortuous, or the publication or sale of which will violate any relevant laws, rules and regulations;
- is not obscene or in any other manner unlawful;
- does not adversely affect or prejudice the rights, reputation, goodwill, brand and business of the YTL Group. “YTL Group” means YTL Corporation Berhad and its subsidiaries and associate companies.

The Participant shall indemnify the Organiser and each entity within the YTL Group from and against all claims, damages, liabilities, deficiencies, penalties, losses, costs, expenses (including without limitation, legal fees and disbursements on a full indemnity basis), mishap, injury or accidents (including death) which the Organiser and any entity within the YTL Group may suffer, incur or sustain as a result of or in consequence of or in relation any act or omission of the Participant and/or any breaches of any of the representations, warranties, undertakings and terms on the part of the Participant as set out above.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:

Step 1

Follow @ytlcementgroup on Instagram and ensure your profile is public throughout the contest period.

Step 2

Download/Screenshot the #AColourfulNation IG Story template from @ytlcementgroup account’s Story Highlight labelled, “#AColourfulNation”.

Step 3

Decorate the pre-coloured template using our special digital sticker set. Key areas like the large “68” and the foreground are left blank for your personal touch. Colour over them, add stickers, or include your own design elements.
Your submission must include:
- A minimum of 3 sticker elements which can be found under “AColourfulNation” on Instagram.

Step 4

Post your completed artwork on your IG Story, tag @ytlcementgroup, and include the hashtag #AColourfulNation.

WINNERS:

FOUR (4) Participants will be selected as the prize winners.
Winners will be announced on YTL Cement Group’s Instagram (instagram.com/ytlcementgroup) no later than 16 October 2025.
Winners will be notified via Direct Message (DM) on Instagram, and they will need to verify their personal details with the Organiser. In the event where the Participant cannot be reached after THREE (3) attempts, the Participant will be disqualified and the next shortlisted entry will be selected. No further responses or appeals will be entertained.
If the selected winner is unable to meet all the Contest requirements, he/she will be disqualified and his/her contest entry will be automatically forfeited.
Upon the above mentioned verification, winners will receive an official email from communication @ytlcement.com.my to certify that they have won. They will also be notified on prize collection details.

PRIZES:

There will be FOUR (4) prize winners in total. ONE (1) Grand Prize winner will receive a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) WiFi (4GB + 128GB), with S-pen worth RM1,299; ONE (1) set of Limited Edition YTL Cement Pillows and ONE (1) set of YTL Cement enamel pins. THREE (3) consolation winners will receive ONE (1) set of Limited Edition YTL Cement Pillows and ONE (1) set of YTL Cement enamel pins each.
The Organiser is entitled at its discretion to change or replace any of the Prize with any other prize of equivalent value at any time without giving any prior notice to the Participants.
Any colour/variation of the Prize will be given at random, and winners cannot request specific colours. The Organiser will provide the Prize based on availability, and the colours/variation received may vary from the promotional images.
Multiple entries are encouraged, but each Participant can only stand the chance to win ONE [1] Prize throughout the entire Contest. No further appeals by the Participant will be entertained.
The Prize is not exchangeable for cash or any other alternatives and are strictly not transferable, assignable or exchangeable.
The Organiser does not make any representation or warranty whether express or implied and shall not be liable in any way in regards to the quality, fitness for any purpose, merchantability and/or the suitability of the offered Prize.
The winners shall attend the Prize collection and/or participate in other publicity programmes relating to this Contest at his/her own cost and expense, if applicable.
If a winner chooses not to accept the Prize, the winner shall be deemed to have forfeited all claims to the same and the Prize shall be dealt with by the Organiser at its sole and absolute discretion. The winner hereby undertakes that in the event that he/she decides not to accept the Prize, he/she shall not have any claim whatsoever against the Organiser in respect of the Prize.

WINNER’S DETAILS:

Winners may also be notified via Instagram Direct Message, phone, email or any other means of communication deemed fit by the Organiser after the Contest end date based on the particulars provided to the Organiser during the entry submission process. The Organiser shall not be held liable in the event that the winner(s) cannot be contacted for whatever reasons. The Organiser shall not be held liable in the event of any non-receipt or delayed delivery of any notification to the winner(s).
By participating in this Contest, winners hereby grant the Organiser and the YTL Cement Group the perpetual right to broadcast names and pictures or display any matter related to any of the winners for marketing, publicity and advertising purposes related to the Contest without any further notice to the winners. Winners are hereby notified and are deemed to unconditionally agree that the Organiser and the YTL Cement Group has the perpetual right to record the winner’s experience in any media deemed appropriate (including but not limited to video and audio recordings) under the Contest for future marketing, advertising and promotional purposes. The winners are not entitled to claim ownership or any payment in any form, fee or compensation for the use of their images, details or any other materials in relation to the above.

QUALIFYING CRITERIA (RULES & REGULATIONS)

Contest is open to all Malaysian citizens over the age of 18 as of 31 August 2025.
Submission of entries for this Contest must be done by tagging YTL Cement Group (instagram.com/ytlcementgroup) and including the hashtag #AColourfulNation in the Participant’s publicly published Instagram story.
All entries must adhere to the stipulated time/date of the Submission Period of the contest. Any entries received after the deadline will not be entertained.
The Organiser has the absolute discretion to reject or disqualify an entry without giving any reason whatsoever to any Participant or any other party.
The Participant is not allowed to use details that do not belong to him/her when submitting entries. These details include: Full Name (as per NRIC/passport), NRIC number or passport number, mobile number and email address.
The Organiser reserves the right to withdraw the Prize(s) in the event that the winner(s) do not comply with the contest’s terms and conditions.
The judges’ and the Organiser’s decision in respect to this Contest or any part thereof shall be final and binding and no correspondence (verbal or written) will be entertained.
By participating in this Contest, the Participant is fully aware and agrees to be liable to all the terms and conditions and decisions made by the Organiser. All decisions made with regards to this Contest are final and no correspondence thereon shall be entertained.
By participating in this Contest, the Participant consents to the perpetual use of images submitted to the contest to be used across YTL Cement’s online and offline platforms and media channels. The Participant is not entitled to claim any payment in any form, fee or compensation for the use of the images or details in relation to the above.
All photos submitted by the Participant shall be originally captured, owned and posted by the Participant. Entries who submit photos belonging to third parties will be automatically disqualified.

DATA PROTECTION

By participating in the Contest, each Participant confirms that he/she has read, understood and agreed to the terms of the Privacy Policy of the YTL Cement Group (which can be accessed via ytl.com/privacypolicy.asp) and further irrevocably and unconditionally consents to the collection and use of their personal data and particulars for all future marketing, advertising and publicity activities of the YTL Cement Group in such form and on such terms and conditions as may be determined by the YTL Cement Group without any compensation, notification or permission and without any limit in time. This includes, without limitation permission to use his/her name, photograph or image for future advertising and publicity purposes in connection with the Contest and the YTL Cement brand in any and all media without any compensation, notification or permission. If the Participants wish to raise any issues on data protection with the Organiser, the Participant may contact the Organiser at communication@ ytlcement.com.my.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Participants and/or winners shall assume full liability and responsibility in case of any liability, trespassing, mishap, injury, loss, damage, claims, cost and expenses resulting from their participation in the Contest or redemption and/or usage of the prizes. The Participant agrees that in no event shall the YTL Cement Group or any of its officers, directors, employees, agents, suppliers and/or subcontractors be liable for any claims, losses, damages, costs and expenses whatsoever, whether direct, indirect, general, special, compensatory, consequential and/or incidental, arising out of or relating to the Participant’s participation in the Contest or any redemption or use of the prizes, including but without limitation to lost profits or any special, incidental or consequential damages.

INDEMNIFICATION

The Participant hereby undertake to indemnify and keep fully indemnified the Organiser and each entity within the YTL Cement Group from and against all claims, damages, liabilities, deficiencies, penalties, losses, costs, expenses (including without limitation, legal fees and disbursements on a full indemnity basis), mishap, injury or accidents (including death) which the Organiser and any entity within the YTL Cement Group may suffer, incur or sustain as a result of or in consequence of or in relation any act or omission of the Participant and/or any breaches of any of the representations, warranties, undertakings and terms on the part of the Participant contained herein.

SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these terms and conditions are held unenforceable, then such provision shall be modified to reflect the intentions of the Organiser. All remaining provisions of these terms and conditions shall remain in full force and effect.

VARIATION

The Organiser reserves the right to modify, suspend or terminate the Contest for any reason, without notice, at any time. The Organiser also reserves the right to alter the provisions of these terms and conditions regarding the Contest at any time without further notification to the Participant.

ADDITIONAL

The Organiser’s decision on all matters relating to this Contest shall be final, conclusive and binding. The Organiser shall not be obliged to give any reasons or enter into any correspondence with any person(s) on any matter concerning the Contest. The Organiser shall not be responsible nor shall accept any liabilities of whatsoever nature and however arising or suffered by the Participant and/or third parties resulting directly or indirectly from the Contest and/or the prizes. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with the Contest, these terms and conditions shall prevail. The Organiser reserves all rights to interpret these terms and conditions and deliberate on the results of the Contest in case of any dispute.
