Lafarge Malaysia CEO Mario Gross Takes on New Role in LafargeHolcim Group

PETALING JAYA, 16 November 2018 – The President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Lafarge Malaysia Berhad, Mario Gross is being assigned to a new role within the LafargeHolcim Group and will be relinquishing his current position as President and CEO effective 16 November 2018. He will continue as a Non-Executive Director until 31 December 2018 to facilitate the transition.

During his tenure here, Mr. Gross laid the groundwork for the business turnaround plan, putting in place an experienced leadership team and strengthened the fundamentals of the company and reorganised the company to more efficient.

Lafarge Malaysia’s long-time Chief Financial Officer Yeoh Khoon Cheng will be appointed as Interim CEO effective 16 November 2018. Mr. Yeoh has been very successful in various roles within the LafargeHolcim Group.
